Premium sailing ropes by FSE Robline and Marlow Ropes.
Polyester double braid is the most common rope used for sheets, halyards on cruising boats, and control lines where stretch isn't critical. It stands up well to UV exposure and is chafe resistant. (Orion 300, Sirius 500, Doublebraid)
Dyneema cored double braid rope is a significant upgrade over polyester. Its low stretch and high strength make it ideal for use in upwind halyards, premium sheets, and control lines. The polyester cover can be stripped to save weight aloft and allow the rope to run more freely through small blocks. Both the core and cover are UV resistant and the cover offers enhanced durability. (Admiral 5000)
Dyneema single braid is commonly used for lightweight halyards, high load applications, and lightweight wire replacement. (Ocean 3000)
